The CTSG is one of the IUCN Species Survival Commission's disciplinary groups, with member representation spanning all continents. The group developed the IUCN Guidelines for Reintroductions and Other Conservation Translocations, now available in eight languages and integrated into government policy in a number of regions, and continues to maintain the taxon-specific guidelines and case study archive published elsewhere on this site. Membership enquiries, guideline questions and case study submissions all go to the Secretariat below.

Frequently asked questions

Who receives my message?

The form goes to the CTSG Secretariat, working with the group's Chair, Dr. Axel Moehrenschlager. The same address appears in the site footer if you prefer to write directly.

How do I ask about membership?

Use the contact form on the Policy page, which is set up for membership enquiries, or write through this page and say that you are asking about membership. The group has members on every continent.

Where do I find the guidelines and case studies?

They are published on this site and free to download, so it is usually quickest to browse the guideline library or search the case study database before writing. Write to the Secretariat if you cannot find what you need.
