What this site collects

This site is run by the IUCN SSC Conservation Translocation Specialist Group (CTSG) to publish open-access guidelines, case studies and newsletters. It does not have user accounts, does not sell anything, and does not require you to provide any information to read or download its content.

Two things on this site do collect limited information:

• The contact and membership forms. If you submit one, the name, email address and message you type are sent to the CTSG Secretariat so they can reply to you. These submissions are handled by Netlify, our hosting provider, and are not used for any purpose beyond responding to your enquiry.
• Analytics. Like most websites, this one uses Google Analytics to understand which pages are useful and how visitors find them — page views, approximate location by country, device type, and how you arrived at the site. This is aggregated, anonymised usage data; it is not used to identify individual visitors, and we do not combine it with anything you submit through a form.

Cookies

Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser to distinguish visits. You can block or delete these through your browser's settings at any time without affecting your ability to use the site — nothing here requires cookies to function.

Third parties

We use Netlify (hosting and form handling) and Google Analytics (usage statistics). Each processes the limited data described above under its own privacy policy; we don't share anything with any other third party, and we don't run advertising on this site.

Your content, and ours

The guidelines, case studies, books and newsletters published here are freely available to read, download and cite with attribution, as noted throughout the site. This policy is only about visitor and form data — it doesn't apply to citing or reusing published content, which is covered by each document's own terms.
