Two dozen photographs from conservation translocation projects across the network, spanning mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, fish and invertebrates, from a swift fox release on the prairie at night to a giant clam on a coral reef. Several are credited to Calgary Zoo and photographer Sergei Belski; the rest are field images and stock photography contributed by the projects themselves.

Who took these photographs?
Several are credited to Calgary Zoo and to photographers including Sergei Belski and Dennis Flaherty. Others are field photographs from the projects themselves, and some are stock photography. The credit that applies is the one attached to each original file.
Can I reuse a photograph from this gallery?
Do not assume so. Credits and permissions differ from image to image, and stock photography in particular is licensed by its agency. If you want to use one, ask the CTSG Secretariat through the contact page and say which image and for what purpose.
What do the photographs show?
They show animals and plants that have been the subject of conservation translocation, including whooping cranes, swift foxes, black-footed ferrets, Vancouver Island marmots, Arabian oryx, giant clams and a New Zealand weta, along with researchers releasing animals in the field.
